Alcan invents the capsule for champagne

After setting out to conquer the world of wine, Alcan Packaging, the leading aluminium packaging company, attacks the stronghold of corks.
At the beginning of June, with champagne firm Duval-Leroy, it is launching a “chic” capsule. Ease of use, security and innovation are the principal arguments chosen by Duval-Leroy to justify its choice.
While, in France, just 10% of the 3 billion bottles will be closed with screw-top capsules this year, this phenomenon is growing abroad, particularly in New Zealand and Australia.
